For most of the nation mid-February means short, bone chillingly cold days, where the first thing you think about when you wake up is how excited you are to go back to sleep in 12+ hours. A time when seasonal depression gets so bad they had to throw in a holiday to simply remind us that love exists. Remember I said most of the nation. Luckily, we’re Athens. And mid-February in Athens means 60-degree weather and vitamin D. And what better way to celebrate our freedom to proudly (and comfortably) parade around in short sleeves than spending a beer filled day at the beach? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re out of the loop and I’m afraid I’m not the one to disclose its not-so-secret location, but if you are of the cultured sort, its time to revisit your favorite summer escape. So cheers to blue skies, warm weather, and living in the South. And praise be to God or Global Warming, I’m not quite sure which.
